2021 New Ukrainian ammunition for UAVs – Currently, the company has already mastered the production of training and imitation ammunition of a new type
2021 New Ukrainian ammunition for UAVs
The press service of PJSC “Plant “Mayak” (part of the SC “UkrOboronProm”) has published details on joint development with NGO “Aero reconnaissez”.
We are talking about unmanageable training and imitation ammunition 1-KKG-1600, designed for training operators of attack drones.
The combat part of such ammunition consists of light noise (to record the lesion in the dark) or chimney generating (to fix the lesion in the daytime) of the unit. And the hit radius, according to the developers, is one square meter when the target is bombed from a height of 300 meters.
It is noted that the mass-sized characteristics (weight 1.6 kg) NI-KKG-1600 are identical to the combat cumulative ammunition developed at the state enterprise RKG-1600, which should soon begin testing.
Recall that new training and simulation ammunition from the Plant “Mayak” and NGO “Aero reconnaissable” passed practical tests at the end of November last year during command and staff exercises on the basis of the 235th interspecies training center of military units and units (“Shyrokyi Lan” training ground).
As a carrier of new ammunition, a heavy impact multicopter was used developed by Aero reconnaissance gunmakers, which successfully struck all targets.
It should also be added that several more Ukrainian enterprises are working on the development of different types of attack unmanned complexes.
Thus, at the International Exhibition “Arms and Security-2019” were presented an attack drone-kamikaze (baring ammunition) ST-35 “Thunder” manufactured by SPE “Atlon-Avia” (its factory tests are scheduled for April-May this year) and an updated version of the tactical reconnaissance UAV PD-1 (manufactured by UkrSpecSystems) equipped with the system which allow you to fit ammunition of different types.
According to the developers, such mini bombs have a weight of up to 3 kg and an accuracy of about 10 meters when dropped from a height of 1000 meters.
In addition, at the beginning of November last year, the State KKB “Luch” presented an operational-tactical-tactical-level “Falcon-300” attack UAV capable of carrying up to four precision-guided missiles of the type LCD-2P (with a range of up to 10 km).
