2021 Russia Military: planned to spend more than 60 percent of the military budget

MilitaryEzyInfo.com – in 2021, it is planned to spend more than 60 percent of the military budget on the creation of new ICBMs, fighters, bombers, and air defense systems, which will significantly increase the country’s combat potential and bring it to an unprecedented level. RIA Novosti writes about it.

Expanding Opportunities at Sea

Thus, the Russian Navy will receive two newest nuclear submarines belonging to the Borei-A class – the cruisers Generalissimo Suvorov and Prince Oleg, which will be endowed with the invisibility function and the Bulava missiles that made a splash at the end of 2020.

In addition, the fleet will be reinforced with the Varshavyanka silent diesel-electric submarine, the Zealous and Rezky corvettes with Uranus launchers, and Buyan-M and Karakurt class ships.

Intercontinental and hypersonic missiles

Global containment will be provided by the Avangard and Yars missiles, for which infrastructure is already being prepared in several Russian cities. Among them are Yoshkar-Ola, Kozelsk, Yasnoe, and many other settlements.

Also this year, it is planned to put into service the Sarmat missiles, the warhead of which is a few guided units.

Air defense and missile defense systems

In 2021, it is planned to transfer to the troops and air defense systems S-500 “Prometheus”, which have significant advantages over their predecessors. They are capable of simultaneously destroying several dozen targets at once, as well as detecting even those flying objects that are invisible to other means of protection.

In addition, the S-300 complexes will be replaced with the new S-350 Vityaz, which will allow detecting and firing unmanned aerial vehicles and ballistic missiles.

Air superiority

In addition to the serial production of the Su-57, about which a lot has been said, it is also planned to supply to the Aerospace Forces the Su-34M fighter-bombers, modified after combat tests in Syria, the strategic Tu-160M, as well as the Mi-8AMTSh-VN and Mi-28NM helicopters. The latter have their own radar under the propeller and are capable of detecting any air targets.
