Heckler & Koch HK433 Review
MilitaryEzyInfo.com – The new weapon was first announced to the public in the German magazine Europäische Sicherheit & Technik No. 2 2017.
The basic caliber of the HK433 is 5.56×45mm NATO, but the rifle will also be available in other cartridges, such as 7.62mm NATO and .300 Blackout. The HK433 rifle is a state-of-the-art modular system with a lightweight and small footprint.
It utilizes a short-stroke gas piston system from G36 and HK416 rifles, with an HK416-type lower receiver and a quick-detachable barrel. The receiver is made from two parts – upper receiver and lower receiver. Locking is achieved by the rotary bolt.
The HK433 assault rifle can be configured in any length to suit the user’s personal preferences. The barrel is equipped with a three-slot flamethrower. The gun controls are adapted for easy use by right- or left-handed military personnel.
The HK433 upper and lower receivers are made from high-strength lightweight alloy. The charging handle, located above the barrel, is folding and can be installed on either side of the gun. Ammunition is fed from NATO-standard magazines for AR-15/M16 type rifles.
The lower receiver can be configured for G36 and HK416 users by installing the manual safety levers on either side of the receiver. Pistol grip fire controls from the latest modifications of the HK416 carbine. Handles with interchangeable pads and backs, similar to those of P30 and SFP pistols, allow for adaptation to the user’s hand size.
The HK433 safety design allows for all loading operations when the safety is engaged. The rifle can be used in conjunction with HK269 or GLMA1 under-barrel grenade launchers. The upper receiver is equipped with a STANAG 4694 full-length rail.
Basic iron sights are detachable, folding mechanical sights with the adjustable aperture-type rear sight, and the top receiver can be fitted with any type of collimating sight, optical sights, night sights, or other equipment with appropriate mountings of STANAG 4694 standard.
The receiver may be fitted with a gun firing counter, which is a fully autonomous device that does not require batteries or special maintenance. The data is transmitted wirelessly over a short distance at the user’s request.
HK433 assault rifle is equipped with HKey forend with universal KeyMod interface for mounting of MIL-STD-1913 standard Picatinny rails on the sides and bottom. All HK433 versions can be fitted with a low-noise firing device. Depending on customer preferences, a new rifle is also available in camouflage and IR-adaptive coatings.
It is available in five positions, right side-folding and with adjustable cheek rest. Straight, convex or cambered buttstock provides the necessary comfort during weapon manufacture. The trigger guard is not obstructed when stock is folded.
