Israeli soldiers attack Palestinians after evening prayers at Al-Aqsa
MilitaryEzyInfo.com – Israeli soldiers and police continued for a third day their attacks on Muslim worshippers entering and leaving the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied Palestinian capital of Jerusalem, attacking a large crowd of people finishing Isha prayers on Thursday night.
Witnesses said dozens of soldiers and police stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque, attacking many Palestinians and forcing them to leave the holy site.
The army also fired rockets at dozens of Palestinians in the Bab al-Amud area and chased them to al-Misra, Nablus Street, Sultan Suleiman Street, and Bab al-Sahel.
The police also attacked many Palestinians with batons and pushed many Palestinians in an attempt to force them to leave.
The attack took place as dozens of Muslims were leaving Al-Aqsa through the gates of the Old City, including dozens of children, women, and elderly people.
According to medical sources, many Palestinians suffered cuts and bruises but did not receive the necessary treatment.
Soldiers and police also kidnapped many Palestinians near Al-Aqsa and blocked many streets and alleys in Jerusalem, including the Old City.
The attack triggered massive protests, after which police and soldiers unleashed a large number of gas bombs and concussion grenades on Palestinians.
Some Palestinians also threw stones at police and military vehicles, damaging police vehicles in the Bab al-Sahel area.
Soldiers abducted a Palestinian youth from the Al-Aqsa Mosque and another man who was detained on Wednesday night, as well as attacking many Palestinians as they left the holy site.
It is worth noting that since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the Israeli army and police have intensified their crimes against Palestinians in and around occupied Jerusalem, especially at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
These crimes include obstructing the call to prayer from the holy site’s four towers and preventing worshippers from accessing food at night after fasting all day without food or water.
